Saad Lexicon

An Arabic dictionary database focused on Islamic sciences: fiqh, usul, hadith, aqidah, tafsir, nahw, sarf and balaghah.

Being updated

Release 1.6 · 29 October 2026

How the dictionary was compiled

Saad Lexicon was not copied from a ready-made database. Every root and every word was entered manually, one at a time: we consulted classical dictionaries, checked the root, derived forms and vowel marks, and wrote the meanings anew in our own words. Arabic explanations were not copied. No entry was transferred in full from another dictionary.

The Uzbek dictionary is the foundation. The Russian and English versions were translated from it, rather than taken from other dictionaries.
